INVENTION SUMMARY

The Action Vertical Axis Wind Turbine design offers advantages that are not present in other wind turbine designs and allows for the construction of very large wind turbines.

The Action VAWTs are constructed using one of three systems specified in the patent application and drawings. Two systems use the centrifugal force produced by the wind to control the speed of the turbine and do not require electrical power to control the rotational speed. By using a non-electrical control device, the Action VAWT is not susceptible to lightning strikes that damage the controlling electrical components which can result in complete destruction of the wind turbine.

The Action VAWT operates a pneumatic system with two functions, it maintains the positioning of the operating components of the turbine and inflates dampers that regulate the movement of the blades as the Action VAWT rotates. In the event of air pressure loss, the components will flatten the blades and stop the turbine.

The Action VAWT is designed to be manufactured with ferrous metals, allowing for recycling after the end of service.

OWNERSHIP 

Andrew Schneider is the inventor and the sole owner of the filed patent application of the wind turbine design. 

OPPORTUNITIES

Andrew Schneider desires to sell licenses to develop, manufacture, install, and operate the Action Vertical Axis Wind Turbines. Each license would be for an amount of name plate operation on the wind turbine. An example would be a one-gigawatt license purchased from Andrew Schneider. The developer in turn can sell that gigawatt in any fraction desired for a group or individual Action VAWTs. In addition to the sale of the license, Andrew Schneider desires to collect a royalty for the generation of electricity from the wind turbines placed in service.
